a conscious coupling
We have formed a collaborative partnership with Volume - an interior and product design studio that champions sustainability and responsible design.
To create the XOU: an eco-table lamp made from recyclable materials, designed and manufactured in London.
Over 2 years in the making, the XOU table lamp is a first generation eco product made entirely out of conscious materials.
The lamp's aesthetic is playful modernism with an edge of impeccable elegance.
It will add an undertone of sophistication to interiors and is available in two colours: charcoal and teal.
“XOU represents the power of what can be achieved through collaboration... a collective of small business and craftspeople, putting their heads together to make beautiful, meaningful, responsible design.”
Callie Tedder-Hares - Founding Partner & Creative Director, Volume
anything but basic
The base of the lamp is made from 2 carefully selected materials which cross section each other.
A unique water-based composite material developed by Volume made from solvent free gypsum and recycled post-consumer plastic waste to create an exclusive terrazzo design.
next dimension
The second cross section is 3D printed and made from bioplastic, naturally sourced from sugar cane and is biodegradable.
houseof products are thoughtfully designed to last a lifetime, but the individual components are recyclable and customers will receive 20% of their next purchase when they return the lamp to us for up to 10 years.
“we love working with brands that craft beautiful products and put sustainability at the top of the design agenda. We feel honoured to be working with a brilliant group of collaborators to bring XOU to fruition.”
